Big ups to Jenna for her mention in this article that appeared in Fashion Wire Daily. Way to give good quote, lady. And, she designed the blue cardigan that appears in the photo slideshow that accompanys the piece. There it is to the right!

Feelin' Kinda Thursday
1. I just started watching Californication. I'm four episodes deep. So far, I really like the show but the main character Hank (David Duchovny) is a like a shitty cocktail of two men I know; one that has always repulsed me and one that has recently repulsed me.
It is actually freaking me out to see such a sleazy guy onscreen and think that these are exactly the kinds of things these boys would do/have done to me or my buddies. When did I start hanging out with sleezebags? You know what it is? The banter. I'm a sucker for good banter and Hank gives great banter. I fall for it every time. *shakes head* Let it be known that great banter is my kryponite.
2. Speaking of great things, not to toot my own horn, but I rocked my guest editor stint on Philebrity the other week. Here are my top three favorite posts I wrote:
- Breaking News: Uber Menudo Superfan Lashes Out At Us In Noontime Nuggetz Comment Section
- Philly Asks Zipcar to Prom, Totally Blows PhillyCarShare Off
- Comcast Hates Everything Fun About America
3. I had an amazing time with Jenna last weekend. It's always hard when she leaves and I go back to being Jenna-less. I mean, who here is gonna remind me that I made a hammock request and was brutally denied? Oh God, I'm cringestorming just thinking about it. That one was for you, Jenna!

Cobra Starship Brought It
And, by "it," I mean the Rock. Oh yes. Cobra Starship cranked up the noise in the most rock and roll band this side of the Rockies! They were in town doing a spot on MTVU's Campus Invasion tour along with All Time Low and Wyclef, among others. Even though the weather was unseasonably chilly, we didn't let it dampen our spirits.
Here, they play "The City is at War." If you've ever seen them live, you know that they always kick off their set with this one. It gets the crowd going. You can see why!
They keep things rolling with a rollickin' rendition of "Kiss My Sass."
In the part in the song that goes, "And I ain't gonna lie/ I can be a nasty guy," Gabe does this little hip swivel move that made me blush blush blush. Oh, and around 4:34 you can see Ryland point to us in the crowd. Jenna and I started jumping up and down and waving. We are such nerds.

Afterwards, we got to go backstage and drink some Jack and Cokes. There were candy bars and snacks strewn everywhere and I remarked that it felt like we were at a slumber party. I asked Gabe when the pillow fight was gonna happen and he cracked a smile. Here is a picture of Ryland with Jenna. Awww, how sweet!
I wanted to show 'em around Philly but they had to head back to New York as soon as the show was over. That's too bad because those boys look like they know how to party.
And, I would've loved to get Gabe on a dance floor with me. That kid's got some killer moves on him. I'd bet that he'd show me a thing or two about waggin' it. Wooo, Lordy!
Once that Jack started coursing through my veins, I worked up the courage to finally ask the band what it was like working with Patrick Stump on their last record. Ryland said that he was a genius and all-around great guy. Gabe nodded his head and said that he was awesome. They didn't seem to have any dirt on Patrick and I was feeling kinda creepy for even bringing it up so I left it at that.
I love those Cobra Starship kids and I can't wait to see 'em on the Warped Tour this summer. Jenna and I are gonna represent the over-25-and-still-mallpunkin' it crowd. I strongly encourage you to check our their latest album, Viva La Cobra, if you haven't already. I'm gonna blast it all summer.

The Good Ol' Days
Philebrity.tv just posted up this clip about Philly's premiere Brit-pop dance party, Sorted, and their upcoming ten year anniversary this weekend. In the video, they compile photos from the last decade of the party, which has wound its way through several Philly clubs over the years.
There are a ton of shots of Chetana hamming it up for the camera. It's making me a little misty-eyed because these pics were taken when we became best friends--almost five years ago!--and it reminds me of how much fun it used to be when we first hung out. There are even a few snapshots of the notorious, drunken encounter between Chim and Jenelle in there. Snicker. Talk about a blackmail file!
Congrats to Mike Z for this milestone. I'm not sure if I'm going because with Jenna's arrival, I'm under an explicit Barbary-free order this weekend. Yup, you read that right, the one and only Miss Jenna is coming back to town to rock my world. Expect multiple viewings of Blades of Glory, Mexican Food, and intense morning breakdowns about the previous night's hijinks. I. Can't. WAIT.
She is coming to celebrate my impending graduation. Tonight is my last Thursday class. Monday will be my last Monday class. And, I have one more meeting about my Independent Project. It's winding down, thankfully.
Ok. Let's kick out the jams!

An NYC Weekend with my VIPs
I had a blast with miss Jenna in NYC. We gabbed and gabbed and danced and drank. In short, it was awesome.
We went to Studio B in Greenpoint to see our buddies V.I.P. play to a receptive crowd. Here's the video I took of their song "Shorti." It starts off kinda dark, but the lights come on once they hit the stage. Oh, and the one and only Larry Tee makes their introduction. Hot!
.
I met up with a handful of Philly ex-pats. It was rad to see thier beautiful faces. Kristen and Jenny, I'm looking at you. A huge heap of thanks to Jenna for her hospitality. It was awesome spending some quality time with my fave girl.

I'm Getting My Spielberg On
Or, more like my low-tech video music director on. So, I finally shot some footage last night at the Dirty on Purpose/ Fujyia and Myagi show at Johnny Brenda's, here in Philly. This is my first attempt at videotaping live music and I'm still fussing with the knobs, so to speak.
This is the song DoP opened with. It starts off really dark, due to the fact that like, no lights were on, but it gets better.
And, here is Fugyia and Myagi doing a live version of "Ankle Injuries." It is really dark due to low lighting, but after a while you get used to it.
I uploaded both videos to Viddler and Vimeo, but I gotta say, I like Vimeo better because the presentation is more modern. I like how you can leave comments on video clips in Viddler, but overall, its just not as...sexy.
The show was fantastic last night. It was amazing to see Doug, as always. We've been BFF for, like, 11 years now and its so rad that we still are close. I got updates on a bunch of school friends. James, Brendan, Jonathon, Bill--I miss you, dudes!
Oh, and I talked to Jenna last night. I'm gonna try and visit her next week in nyc for a spell. I need some Jenna-time so I'm looking forward to that.

Weekended
As you may or may not know, I love watching tv on my computer. I don't love cable bills but I love convenience so there's that. That's why the internet rules so hard! Cause I can watch most of my shows online for free instantly. It has made me quite spoiled.
To that end, I stumbled across this site, Videostored which is actually pretty decent. I mean, its just a collection of Divx6 links, but they have a link to the full movie Blades of Glory. I'm watching it right now! I saw this movie 3 times in the theater which is insane because I barely ever go to the movies anymore, much less see one 3 times within, like, a week. And, it just keeps getting funnier every time I see it!
I had a really fun weekend. John and I grabbed a great sushi dinner friday night. Then we went to his friend Laurence's apartment where I played the Wii for the first time ever. I played the boxing game against John (which I totally won) then I played Laurence and I knocked him out in a clean sweep. I got really into it. I was punching the air and jumping up and down; the whole thing. Afterwards, we hopped, skipped, and jumped over to fishtown to meet up with Shannon. The whole night went by too fast.
Saturday we started filming a promo for our new dating show called, "Lunch with Shannon." That was superfun. We went out to Shannon's place to film the spot. Afterwards, Shannon and I went to a block party in West Philly. I pretty much never go to West Philly so it felt like we were on a field trip or something. I saw some kids I hadn't seen in, literally, years. It was funny how those kids still dress like its a basement show in 1997 or some shit. It made me feel old. There were a ton of shitty tattoos there, by the way. It was overstimulating.
After a few margaritas at Mad Mex, we headed over to Immediate. I danced up a storm with Patricio. He is such a sweetie! He always puts a smile on my face. Then, I swung by the RUBA for Abby's engagement party. Congrats, Abby! Sheesh. It was a full weekend.
I also just received word that the lovely miss Jenna Davis will be back in town on Friday. It's always great having her back to visit. I'm really looking forward to it. I have no idea what we are gonna do but hopefully it will involve nachos and belly laughs.

What? Today is National High Five Day? Count me in!
Yes, you read that right. According to this, it is National High Five Day. You mean all this time I've been typing away I could have been high-fiving? Goddamn!
Here is a film the founders of NHFD made about it.
I just received word that Jenna is gonna kick it with me this weekend. I am insanely excited about this. Chairs will be kicked and and laying around on the couch recovering from kickin chairs will happen.
Thanks, Courtney, for the High Five Day tip-off. I'm sending one over to you right now (put your fist out!).

Weekend Warriors
I'm a weekend warrior. I live for Friday nights.
And, I can't wait to see Shannon soon. We always have a blast together. This frosty weather has been cramping our style but we are determined to have a good time tonight, even if we have to pioneer into the arctic.
And, I just received word that my girl, Jenna, might come down to Filthadelphia tonight. I'm so excited I think she deserves another post. Jenna is one of my best friends. She knows me better than almost anyone on this planet. We lived together for three years and she is just a phenominal person; very warm, loving, and loyal.
If Jenna comes over tonight, I guarantee that this band will be played:
I just wish I could fast forward through my work day and get to the fun part already!
