I need to get my mojo back. I'm hoping that this change in weather will bring a change in attitude. It just seems like more things are possible with the sunlight on our backs.

Word on the street is that Nicole will be making an appearance on Friday night. That pretty much guarantees an insane time. Last time she was in town, we ended up at a house party in Northern Liberties until, like, insane o'clock. I don't remember much, but the pictures are pretty hysterical.

I'm also in a good mood because Jenna will be joining me to see my other favorite band, My Chemical Romance, on Sunday. If Gerard Way can't lift my spirits, than nothing can. I mean, just look at him:



I'm also also in a good mood because I talked to my girl Courtney and she is coming out to spend some time in Philly with me in May. It's looking like we are going to need a Queen's night to welcome her to the city of brotherly love. As long as my roommate Nick dons something with breakway pants, the party will be started right. I am still trying to figure out when I can get away to Chicago to see her and the boys again. Hopefully I can firm up plans within the week.

Bound to be Chicago Bound

So, I want to go back to Chicago soon. When I went over christmas and new years, I had one of the best times of my life. I had a blast with Courtney. And, meeting Seth and Jon was awesome. I kinda cried on the plane cause i didn't want to come home. I'm so emo!

However, the timing of an upcoming trip is becoming an issue. This visit is looking like it is shaping up to be a long weekend, which isn't my first choice. I wish I could stay longer. And, with the unpredictability of school coursework, let's just say its hard to truly get away right now. It's pretty frustrating. But, as soon as I hear Courtney's voice on the phone, I immediately want to say "fuck it", drop everything I'm doing and just head back.

In other news, I re-rented the show Long Way Round. For some reason that show resonates with me. The show is about how Ewen McGregor embarks on an extensive motorcycle journey from london to NYC with his best friend, Charlie. You get to see them overcome seemingly impossible obstacles. Their perserverence is inspiring. And, I always cry at the end when they reunite with their families. I do love a good reunion!

Valentine's day was pretty much a bust. I think this frosty weather is bumming me out. I asked Rob to grab a drink with me last night but he didn't want to leave his house. I ended up just making a cocktail with flat diet coke that I didn't even finish. so much for unwinding. Maybe i'll pick up a bottle of wine after work and get a bit tipsy while I do my homework.

So, I talked with Shannon and we decided that we need some good times. I just saw that the And Dim Sum kids are having a Spin the Bottle Party at the kyber on friday night. If I feel like dealing with old city, maybe I'll try and check it out.
