Listen Listen

I'm pretty much obsessed with the song "Fatalist Palmitry" by Why?, which I've embedded below. I have no idea how it even wound its way into my iTunes, but it did. It must have been bundled in a mix I downloaded at some point. It just popped up in my life like it was supposed to be there anyway. I know nothing about the band but this song is so arresting it made me stop in my tracks when I first heard it. Now, I can't stop listening to it.

I'm drawn to the singer's voice. It's warm, like a smoldering campfire. Once I listened to the lyrics, I fell even deeper in love with the song. When he sings, "I'm lucky to be under/ the same sky that held/ the exhale from your first breath/ like a ring on a pillow of clouds," it breaks my heart but at the same time, it uplifts it too. It's such a humble sentiment. What can I say? It makes my heart flutter.

Also, MY NAME IS IN THE SONG! How rad is that? If you like bands like the Shins or Arcade Fire, you'll love this. Give it a whirl.
